Authentication information:

This server supports IP and/or username/password authentication.
However, all databases are accessible even without authentication. When authentication is used, the 'net-base' database will search across all sub-databases subscribed to by the authenticated user.

Services

The 39.50 server conforms to version 3 of the Z39.50 standard. The services init, search, and present, are supported.

Record Syntaxes

XML

When XML is selected, the following element set names can be used:

marcxml: Provides records structured according to the MARCXML schema.
dc: Provides records with unqualified Dublin Core tags.
raw: Provides records in a private schema. This schema may provide more information than the standard schemas.

Searching

The following USE attributes are supported:

4 Title
7 ISBN
12 Document Number
16 Call number
30 Date
1016 Keyword
1018 Publisher

Relation attributes:

Equal: Supported for all fields
Greater than, smaller than, greater than or equals, smaller than or
equals: Supported for date searching

Truncation attributes:

No truncation, right truncation.

Profile support: Every effort has been made to ensure that this server complies with level 1 of the Bath Profile for bibliographic or cross-domain applications.

Explain

This server supports the Explain service. Clients may rely on the information provided by this service to automatically configure themselves. The pertinent configuration information follows below.

Authentication information

This server supports IP and/or username/password authentication.
However, all databases are accessible even without authentication. When authentication is used, the 'net-base' database will search across all sub-databases subscribed to by the authenticated user. Username/password may be provided either through the HTTP Basic authentication mechanism, or (in SRU), through the URL parameters x-username and x-password.
